Animation giant
Pixar talking about doing a sequel to his critical and commercial success
Finding Nemo has ups and downs over the years since its release in 2003, but
the will is never really gone to see the movie. This weekend, Finding Dory
finally hit theaters, complete with the original Andrew Stanton to return to
the helm. Most industry experts predicted that the course Dory would do a great
thing in the treasury, and the water high-profile sequels are not disappointed.
Like most, I
expected to find Dory easily crushed the competition at the box office this
weekend, earning a hefty $ 136.1 million. In comparison, rock and new action /
Comedy Central Intelligence Kevin Hart took over from # 2 with quite decent $
34.5 million, while the second winner elicit fast last week fell to No. 3 with
$ 15 5,000,000 The launches $ 136,100,000,000 is enough to Dory claim the
record for opening multiple single week weekend in an all-time animation. This
beats the previous record Shrek the Third, which opened in 2007 to $ 121.6
million.
Internationally
Finding Dory earned an additional $ 50 million, as its total estimated weekend,
in general, to a robust $ 186.1 million. Unfortunately, this is not enough to
claim the record for all-time opening weekend in the 2009 animated world have
long been held by Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, before being reviewed by
Zootopia early this year. Zootopia spent a whopping $ 233.9 million worldwide
in its first weekend, which means it is likely to retain his place in the top
of the list the next time. As usual for the animated world, however, Disney -
Zootopia creator and owner of Pixar - win again.
In more good news
for Disney / Pixar, find Dory I also had a score in a film discussion from the
audience, which logically has received glowing critical remarks sequel ago. In
a film score, it usually implies that a particular film will have legs at the
box office for the future, and will likely hold down the lowest average in the
coming weeks in theaters. That said, evoking two overall rating of a movie
theater last week, and went to a decline of 61.5 percent is massive two
weekends franchise predecessors and Annabelle Evocation. This does not mean
Dory same fate, but it reinforces a high film score is by no means a guarantee
for long-term success, even though they are known in the related articles box
office.
With great reviews
from critics and fans, Finding Dory nothing but the history of the recent
success of Pixar, perhaps the most consistently good animation studio in
Hollywood history. Of course there were some stains on his record over the past
decade, but the stakes and Cars 2 mediocre easily obscured by the gems outside.
If the past is prologue, Pixar probably need to make room in his trophy cabinet
to find Dory come Oscar season.
